1. How does the design that you created demonstrate your knowledge of playing card design?
The cards I designed I feel meet the criteria of a playing card. My cards have the symmetrical value that is in most playing cards while also giving each card the own design aspect different from the others.
2. How would the rest of the deck look? What would you do for the other picture cards? Please describe in detail?
The rest of my deck would follow the same color scheme. Each number card will have the block design as Card 4 but depending on the suit and the number the symbols will change. Also for the picture cards the circle spiral will be filled with either the knight (J), a queen (Q), and a king (K), surrounded by the border seen on the Jack of clubs.
3. How does your design demonstrate your knowledge of adobe illustrator?
My design shows my demonstration because of my use of image trace but also making my own design, grouping it together, then making it into a symbol i could use throughout my cards. Also the different aspects of the layering and spacing while meeting all the requirements.
4. What do you feel was the most challenging part of this project and why?
The most challenging part of the design was using the design i made and still making the required features seen in front of it. The cover took a while because my ideas keep clashing making it busy and hard to see, but know i really like how the cover is simplified but the borders gives it something to make it different. Also finding a graphic image for the Jack card was tough, everything looked either blurry or it didn't match the design theme.
5. If you can change one requirements what would it be and why?
That all the cards had to be the same suit. I would have like to demonstrate the other suits to better get my idea across the full deck. Other than that I enjoyed working on this project except for the days this had me majorly stressed.
